Roger's daughter, Shelley, is a Cross-Cultural volunteer in Ayacucho Peru, working in a tough overcrowded women’s prison.

Shelley phoned home after talking to women inmates, living 5 to a cell, with their young children. A shocked Shelley asked her Dad to help her develop a much-needed library to re-motivate the women. There are only a few books for 120 women.

The background of the women is emotional and physical poverty, often linked to drugs and domestic violence. Yet volunteers like Shelley can motivate and inspire through just being true to their own brave vision and genuine compassion.

Roger is a writer of self-help, positive growth, books and Shelley knows from listening to the women they would want to read them.

Now Shelley and Roger are contacting anybody who will help finance or donate Spanish books for this much-needed library.

One such contact is the famous Brazilian, Paulo Coelho, best selling author of the ‘Alchemist,’ who has agreed generously to donate books. Susan Jeffers another famous author who wrote, 'Feel The Fear & Do It Anyway', has encouraged Shelley by offering Spanish books from her website.

Meanwhile 'YOU DESERVE LOVE' - Roger’s latest book, is launched on Saturday Dec 2nd at Waterstone’s Bookshop in The Ridings Shopping Centre, Wakefield, Yorkshire. All proceeds will be going to set up the prison library. Roger will sign personal copies between 1pm and 3pm.

If you can help to buy or sell Roger’s book and raise money for the great work, Cross-Cultural Solutions, the volunteer agency that work in Ayacucho prison, email Shelley by clicking here.
